    SENIOR ACCOUNTANT


    Job Description

    The role will involve all aspects of accounting and book keeping services, working closely with the Partner to implement innovative business models for new business, whilst maintaining relationships with current and potential clients.

At V7 Group, we understand this. Our mission is to nurture and support SMEs by providing, amongst other things, a host of accounting and outsourced CFO services, specifically targeting the needs of start-ups and other SMEs.


    Job Responsibilities

    The Accountant will be responsible for the following client tasks:

    • - Preparation of month end journals and accruals;
    • - Managing and mentoring junior accountants and reporting to Partner Group;
    • - Support clients in recording transactions on a day to day level paying attention to detail while recording these transactions;
    • - Gathering of accounting and financial data from clients;
    • - Issuance of client invoices, and tracking/updating of accounts receivable records;
    • - Tracking of client expenses and updating/reconciliation of accounts payable records;
    • - Monitoring of client cash flow management;
    • - Preparation of client monthly/yearly closings;
    • - Preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements, according to IFRS guidelines;
    • - Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures;
    • - Preparation of management level accounts;
    • - Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance;
    • - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls; and
    • - Support with other accounting/legal projects, as required.

    Job Requirements

    • - Business-level English is a necessity. Fluency in Arabic is preferred, but not required;
    • - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field is required;
    • - 3 years of experience as an Accountant;
    • - Qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CIMA, CMA or CPA) are preferred, but not required;
    • - Strong interpersonal skills, levels of initiative, work ethic and good judgement;
    • - Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills;
    • - In-depth understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (IFRS); and
    • - Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and familiarity with relevant accounting system applications such as Microsoft Dynamics, FreshBooks, QuickBooks, Sage Evolution, Sage Pastel, Oracle and Peachtree.

    JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

    Job Responsibilities

    The Junior Account will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • - Gathering accounting and financial data from clients;
    • - Entering, posting and processing client journal entries, to ensure all business transactions are recorded in a timely manner;
    • - Issuing client invoices, and tracking/updating of accounts receivable records;
    • - Tracking client expenses and updating/reconciliation of accounts payable records;
    • - Monitoring client cash flow management;
    • - Preparing client monthly/yearly closings;
    • - Assisting with the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements, according to IFRS guidelines; and
    • - Supporting with other accounting/legal projects, as required.

    Job Requirements

    • - Business-level English is a necessity. Fluency in Arabic is preferred, but not required;
    • - Bachelor’s degree with concentration in accounting or finance is required;
    • - Proven experience (1-2 years) as a Junior Accountant;
    • - Qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CIMA or CPA) are preferred, but not required;
    • - Strong interpersonal skills, levels of initiative, work ethic and good judgement;
    • - Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi task several projects at once;
    • - Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment;
    • - In-depth understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (IFRS); and
    • - Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and familiarity with relevant accounting system applications such as Microsoft Dynamics, FreshBooks, QuickBooks, Sage Evolution, Sage Pastel, Oracle and Peachtree.

    FINANCIAL ANALYST

    The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • - Responsible for the day- to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas;
    • - Preparing of month end journals and accruals;
    • - Gathering accounting and financial data from clients;
    • - Analysing data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed;
    • - Preparing financial reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested;
    • - Providing timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis of the results against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan;
    • - Maintaining and developing various financial models and standard templates to ensure quality, accuracy and focused analytic review;
    • - Identifying, configuring, and communicating useful information to provide practical business leadership and drive business decision making;
    • - Monitoring client cash flow management; and
    • - Supporting with other accounting/legal projects, as required.

    Job Requirements

    • - Business-level English is a necessity. Fluency in Arabic is preferred, but not required;
    • - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required;
    • - 3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst;
    • - Qualifications (CFA, CPA, CFP or Financial Modelling Certification) are preferred, but not required;
    • - Strong interpersonal skills, levels of initiative, work ethic and good judgement;
    • - Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills;
    • - Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment;
    • - Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
    • - Independent worker and analytical thinker with an ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems;
    • - Strong sense of discretion and the ability to handle confidentiality with the strongest sense of professionalism;
    • - Knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques required;

      REON CURRY


      Educated in the United States of America, Reon holds a Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance from Vanderbilt University and a BA in Financial Information Analysis from Clarkson University.


      Reon has since obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst certification and collected over 7 years of experience working in financial consulting services (insurance, sovereign wealth fund, banking, asset management and treasury transactions) at multi-national corporations like EY, Mastercard and PwC Middle East.


      Today, Reon utilises his expertise in pricing planning, legal/tax structuring, M&A planning & integration, supply chain restructuring, cash repatriation structuring, FATCA compliance, Regulation W compliance and Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) compliance to actively drive the growth of Venture 7 Group and Merit Incentives as Partner and Chief Financial Officer respectively.


      DR ALBERTO NENCHA


      With a background of more than twenty years in the Italian Fiscal Police Guardia di Finanza culminating in the achievement of being ranked of Liutenant Colonel, Alberto has always been a highly motivated critical thinker with an aptitude for resource management.


      Educated in Italy, Alberto graduated with a degree in Business Economics from ’La Sapienza’ University of Rome and a degree in Law from the University of Bari,completing his studies at LUISS Business School in Rome with a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies.


      From being nominated Managing Director of Edra S.p.A., General Manager of FB Design and Chairman of the Italian Business Council of Abu Dhabi, Alberto is an expert in business growth strategy.       GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERNSHIP


      A little about this role:

      This is a design-oriented role that demands a high level of creative thinking paired with business/marketing acumen to enable successful marketing campaigns and high return on marketing spend.

      The candidate will work with management to come up with great designs as required for web, social media and print material. The candidate will then also be responsible for actual creation of such designs using required software.

      The candidate must have the ability to think outside the box. Candidate may also be asked to identify and communicate with various external agencies to facilitate marketing campaigns.


      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Collaborating with management to identify and create unique designs for various purposes
